Sustenance
What does it profit a man
To gain the whole world
But to lose his soul
May my life be an offering
A pleasing aroma
Pursuing the eternal goal
The high calling of Christ
The highs, the lows
For the joy set before Him
He endured the cross
So this world is no loss
He is the greatest treasure
A pearl of great price
Worth more than rubies
His love endures the storms
The greatest love
Known to humanity
To us a child was born
A gift beyond
Comparison
Hard to comprehend
The love of the Father
That would rather
Die for our sake than lose us
His kindness leads
Sinners to repentance
He is faithful to forgive
He is the way
The truth, the life
The foundation for how to live
His word is our source
Of guidance, of hope
He knows the end of the story
He is working in all things
The whole creation will sing
Showing off His glory
The mercy, the justice
Of the King of Kings
Is perfect, right, fitting
In the heavens above
His armour of love
Surrounds us, He is sitting
On the throne in heaven
His sons and daughters
Will reap in His kingdom
I won’t seek my own glory
I know who is for me
No need to worry who is against me
My testimony is this
I wasn’t made to just exist
But to scribe His words through creativity
Through many long valleys
I have wept, I have tarried
But His works, I will walk in them
The Saviour of the world
It has been written
Is coming back for His chosen
The bride of Christ
His word does suffice
It’s our bread of sustenance
Every word proclaimed
In His name
Goes forth like a flood
His grace for my weakness
His resurrection is significant
I will pursue Him with all my heart.
