Refuge
When I feel overwhelmed
By worry
By fear
You remind me You’re close
You never leave
You’re right here
In the waiting
You whisper
A gentle melody
A song
Of deliverance
Setting us free
As we fly
On eagles wings
You give us strength
Even when
I was in the depths
With You I never sank
I reached out
You saw me
And grabbed my hand
You helped me
Back to my feet
To again stand
I praise You
For victory
Before it springs forth
You will open
The flood gates
& every needed door
I will stay
Captivated
Right by Your side
I will not
Be defeated
You overcame the great tide
In Your arms
I am held
You comfort with Your peace
Give me eyes
To see You
To battle with ease
Every wave
That comes
Is not greater than You
You are victorious
You are our strength
You are our refuge.
