Above all else

When I felt lost 

Afraid 

Alone 

In You I found rest 

In You I found home 

I didn’t know 

How far 

I’d strayed 

Until You called 

My name 

Above the waters 

Above the waves

I surrendered fully

I let go of my ways

Because in You 

There is peace 

There is fullness

There is truth 

Not just a name 

But an eternal heart 

Full of love for me

When I was cast at sea 

You found a way to me 

You call me known 

Seen, loved

Your treasure 

Your beloved 

I am found in You 

I receive grace 

Your embrace 

Meets me where I am 

But doesn’t leave me there 

For you care deeply 

More than I could know 

To help me grow 

& transform more into Your image 

How could I envisage 

What you have in store

For those You love 

Released from heaven above

Your great redemption 

I believe miracles 

Are the portion 

Of the saints 

You are our Father 

The Father of lights 

Your gifts are perfect 

But You, Lord our God

Are the greatest treasure 

Above all else.
