Walk by faith

In my distress 

I called out 

You heard me from afar 

You reached down 

Took my hand 

As I looked up to the stars 

Your hands 

Created a blanket 

Of glory overhead 

You promised me 

A blessing 

As I walk this road ahead

In my uncertainty 

As I wrestle 

Against my mind, against Your will 

I take a breath 

I pause 

I trust and be still 

Knowing You are God 

You are sovereign 

Over my mistakes 

You give me 

Courage 

Strength to be brave 

You offer me

Yourself 

Your love anchors me 

Your character 

Is constant 

Full of grace and mercy 

My tomorrows 

All my days 

Are written in Your book 

They are known 

By You 

Every step that my foot 

Takes into 

The unknown 

You keep steadfast 

I won’t haste 

I will seek Your face 

For a fresh start 

My every breath 

Is by Your hand 

You are sustaining me 

I won’t let 

My fears

Keep me in anxiety 

I surrender all 

Of my worries 

My cares into Your hands 

I trust that 

You’re guiding me 

Into Your good plans 

Your ways

Your thoughts 

Are higher than my own 

You gift me 

Your presence 

When the path is not yet shown 

You are 

Enough 

You are the way 

I will live 

On Your word alone 

I will walk by faith.
