Safe

Waiting on You 

Even in the mystery

Of the unknown 

You have gone before me

In the valley 

You keep me close

Hold me up above the waves 

Surrendered to Your word 

Following in step 

Ensuring I don’t forget 

He who gave me life 

When I reached my end

You are my strength 

When I have none left 

You show me the way 

I will trust & obey 

Your yoke is easy 

Your burden is light 

You are my lamp 

In the darkest night 

I will not worry 

I release my fears

You are my safety 

You are always near 

Closer than a brother 

My eternal friend 

Grace my every moment

Until the very end 

May I be Your beacon 

Shining on a hill 

May I be Your witness 

Pausing and being still 

In Your presence

In Your shelter

Under Your wings 

I am freed 

You are my armour 

My resting place 

You provide for all 

My needs 

My provider, sustainer 

My eternal longing 

I breathe and live

For You 

Show me how to 

Surrender fully 

I trust in You 

To come through 

Nothing that is to come 

Is unknown

By my Creator 

My Redeemer 

You wash me 

White as snow 

My sin like scarlet 

Is no longer 

Your blood purchased

My freedom 

Eternal life 

Is now my home 

You are my comfort 

In the storm 

You are sovereign 

Seated on the throne 

Above the world 

Above my problems 

I trust in You 

To help me overcome 

You release me from 

All wicked plans 

I am safe in You 

I am safe in Your hands.
