Blood-bought

I may not understand 

But You complete me 

You reach into my soul 

You restore, You remould 

In the searching 

In the seeking 

You gift me 

Your peace

My understanding 

Is not necessary 

I only need 

To trust in You

I release 

My worry 

I am sorry 

For my failings

You meet me

In the middle 

You shower me 

With Your grace 

You won’t forsake 

Those You treasure

Now and forever 

You hold me in love 

I am seated above 

In the throneroom of heaven 

Seven times seventy 

I will forgive 

While I live 

On this side of eternity 

Yearning to be free

Longing to meet You

You carry me, you lead me

You are my purpose here 

I will not fear 

For You are with me 

My destiny is assured 

I am blood-bought 

By the ransom of the cross 

Now I’m found, when I once was lost 

I am grateful to know You 

Help me to grow deeper 

Into the vines of Your love 

To lift Your name despite all odds 

You are guiding me forward 

You are holding my hand 

Into all that You planned 

I will see Your goodness 

Help me to obey 

To trust in You to lead the way 

Even when the road is unclear 

I will rest, knowing You’re here.
