The gift of salvation

The waiting 

Is not wasted 

The testing 

Refines me as gold 

Fanning into flame 

The gifts inside 

Stirring up 

My faith to endure 

Search me God

And know my heart

Test me 

Purify my motives 

Like a purifier 

Of silver

You mould me 

For Your purposes 

In quietness 

& trust 

Is my strength 

My firm confidence 

I may be hidden

But I am in Your hand 

I may not understand 

But You lead me through 

My best days 

Are ahead 

What You have said 

Will be tested 

I have hope

Sustaining me in sorrow

Every tomorrow

Is known by You 

During the storm 

I wait on Your word 

You give me insight 

You provide for my needs 

Every planted seed 

Watered in faith 

Has the power to save 

The gift of salvation 

Is by grace alone 

You are my home 

My place to rest 

In Your perfect presence

You keep 

In perfect peace 

Those whose minds 

Are fixed on You 

You are my shield 

You are my banner 

You are my Father 

Seated on the throne 

I will not give up 

On Your promises 

I will not give up 

On my calling 

I will keep my eyes 

On You

Forgive me Lord 

For averting my gaze

You deserve my praise 

You deserve it all 

Even when I fall 

You are faithful to catch me.
