Under Your wings
The wait isn’t wasted
You redeem every piece
of my past
My story is woven by heaven
My eyes are set
transfixed on the cross
The price You paid
paved the way to my eternity
I declare Your works
from the depths of my being
raising my banner
for the cause of Christ
I surrender my ways
my path and my plans
into Your care
into Your hands
In them I’m safe
to be true to myself
to walk in my calling
to worship in freedom
Even in chains
praise broke out
a choir of angels
shook the prison gates
Perfect peace
found in Your presence
in Your infallible word
I find my confidence
I am Yours
chosen for destiny
You walk close
You are right next to me
As I charter the waters
setting sail into the deep
You give me courage
You carve a path for my feet
You won’t fail
Your word is secure
a lamp to my steps
I will walk steadfast
my surety, Your promises
are found in Your love
You care deeply for me
I am covered from above.
