Through a muffled orange sky
Seagulls chart the rivers
Laughing as they fly by
The crickets rest
Nestled in the grass
Pondering the noise
As each foot walks past
The mountains are still
Standing strong & tall
Enduring the storms
Enduring it all
Love wrestled our doubts
Anchors our hope
Welcomes us home
When we reach the end of our rope
A steady foundation
A grace for imperfection
Our weakness shines light
On His perfect reflection
The pond of eternity
A softly lit lake
Lit by everlasting light
Forever awake
So we can rest in Him
While He beams over us
We can keep our eyes set
On the One we can trust
The world is His
Enjoy the splendour of grace
Until we see Him in glory
When we meet face to face
How we long for eternity
Planted in our hearts
How we long for reunion
When we’re no longer apart.
