Lavender fields
I walk in through lavender fields
Embellished with lush grass
He speaks of better things
Than those of which have passed
A gentle echo of crickets sound
Ricochet through the trees
The suns warmth bathes me
His presence sets me at ease
A slow meander in the afternoon
He knows what I need
Rest in nature and solitude
A quiet pause to soften and breathe
I take the path to the right
A butterfly paves the way
I am at home in the bird call
A peace for my soul to stay
He dwells with me as I walk
Slowly I take His hand
His path for me is better
Than I could ever dream or plan.
