Seasonal
As sun seeps through treetops
Fresh warmth I greet
I stand grounded
On my steadfast feet
Walked me through joy
Sorrow & loss
Walked me through pain
Worth all it cost
The flitter of magpies
The whip of cicadas
Bring peace to my soul
When life becomes harder
As the sun dawns
As the tides tussle in
He assures me
It’s a seasonal swim
The springtime allure
Brings me a smile
If only for a moment
If only for a while
The tranquil river
Quietens my fears
Liberated from emotion
To be free & be here.
